Copyright & Content Disclaimer

Purpose of this disclaimer
FaveFolio helps people curate and share a personal taste identity. Doing that often involves referencing movies, music, books, food brands, sports, and other cultural works. This page explains that FaveFolio does not own those works and is not affiliated with their rights holders, except where a separate partnership is expressly stated.
No ownership of third-party IP
All trademarks, service marks, logos, trade names, product names, artwork, cover art, posters, photographs, album art, and similar materials displayed through FaveFolio belong to their respective owners.
References to titles, artists, studios, platforms, or brands are for identification and personal expression only. They do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or an official relationship with FaveFolio.
Third-party data and images
Metadata and images may be sourced from public APIs and services, including but not limited to:
- The Movie Database (TMDB) for movies, shows, anime, and celebrities
- Apple iTunes Search for songs, albums, and podcasts
- Spotify for artist information and photos
- Open Library for books
- YouTube (including oEmbed) for video titles and thumbnails
- Open Graph or similar page metadata when you paste playlist or external links
Those providers and the original rights holders retain all rights in their content. FaveFolio redisplays identifying information so you can recognize and organize favorites — not so users can copy, host, or redistribute full copyrighted works.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Artwork and data from other providers are subject to those providers’ terms.
User-uploaded images and custom content
If you upload your own images (for example custom covers, restaurant photos, or People photos), you must have the right to use them. Uploading someone else’s copyrighted photo or art without permission may violate law and our Terms.
FaveFolio may remove User Content when we receive a valid complaint or when content clearly appears to infringe others’ rights.
Not a license to the underlying works
Saving a favorite on FaveFolio does not give you (or visitors to your profile) any license to stream, download, reproduce, perform, or commercially use the underlying film, track, book, or other work. Always obtain content through legitimate services and licenses.
Fair dealing / fair use framing
Depending on your jurisdiction, limited quotation or display of identifying materials may be allowed for purposes such as criticism, review, or personal non-commercial expression. Nothing on FaveFolio is legal advice, and nothing here guarantees that a particular use is lawful in your country. Rights holders may still object; we will review good-faith notices.
Infringement notices
Rights holders who believe material on FaveFolio infringes their copyright should send a notice describing the work, where it appears on FaveFolio, and proof of authority to act. We will take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling the material and, where warranted, disabling accounts that repeatedly infringe.
For the full process and your responsibilities as a user, see the Terms — Third-party and copyrighted material.
No liability for third-party claims
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FaveFolio is not responsible for copyright, trademark, or related claims arising from User Content you post, or from third-party metadata and images displayed for identity and discovery. You agree to use the Service in a way that respects others’ intellectual property.
